Prescribing guidance

For all adults with Type 1 diabetes (T1DM)10

NICE guidelines now support the use of the FreeStyle Libre 3 system (rtCGM11) in all adults aged 18 and over with T1DM.10

If your patient is an adult with Type 2 diabetes (T2D MDI),12  the FreeStyle Libre 2 system might be right for them

NICE guidelines support the use of FreeStyle Libre 2 system in selected adults with type 2 diabetes on MDI.13

 

NICE now recommends HCL Systems For Selected People with T1D6-8

The new NICE technology appraisal recommendation means more type 1 patients qualify for a Hybrid Closed (HCL) compatible real-time CGM system.

Patients can improve glycaemic control with the mylife Loop AID system, authorised to work with the FreeStyle Libre 3 sensor.
