The Libre 2 Plus sensor

We will be phasing out our Libre 2 sensors
in the UK at the end of August 2025.
Libre 2 Plus sensors will be replacing Libre 2 sensors. 

This does not affect Libre 3 sensors.

Prescribing information

Please update your patients’ prescriptions
as soon as possible

and start any new patients on the Libre 2 Plus sensor from now on.

Why are you discontinuing the Libre 2 sensor?

We continue to develop our Libre product portfolio as technology evolves to bring the latest innovation to people living with diabetes.

Is the Libre 2 Plus sensor suitable for people who qualify for the Libre 2 sensor?

Yes. People with diabetes will still get all the benefits of the Libre 2 sensor including real-time readings and optional glucose alarms,^ with one extra day.

Is there a plan to discontinue other Libre products?

No. This does not impact Libre 3 sensors.
