My patient started a FreeStyle Libre 3 Sensor but lost or needs to replace their smartphone with the FreeStyle Libre 3 app installed. What do they do?

If your patient has a LibreView account, reinstall the Libre 3 app◊◊ on their compatible smartphone, and sign in with their LibreView account. From the Libre 3 app, tap the Main Menu icon on the upper left corner of the Home screen (3 stacked horizontal lines), then tap “Start New Sensor” and scan the active Libre 3 Sensors* they're wearing. Historical glucose information stored from the FreeStyle Libre 3 Sensors* will be sent and viewable on the Libre 3 app.

If they do not have a LibreView account, they’ll need to replace their active Libre 3 Sensors* with a new Sensor, then reinstall the Libre 3 app,◊◊ and “Start New Sensor” from the app’s Main Menu.

* FreeStyle Libre 3 sensors referes to FreeStyle Libre 3 sensor or FreeStyle Libre 3 Plus sensor.
