Once a patient is prescribed
It is recommended that they complete the FreeStyle Libre 2 system training to help them learn all about the system and how it can help them manage their diabetes.
Patient training options
There are 4 options for patients to complete their FreeStyle Libre 2 system training:
Independent online
Patients can complete training on their own by watching our dedicated training video.
In-person with HCP
Start patients yourself in your practice by using our resources: watch our training video or go through our quick reference guide together.
Abbott online
Register patients for an online session where an Abbott Trainer will guide them through using the system.
Abbott in-person
Book an in-person training session at your practice with an Abbott Trainer who will guide invited patients through training.

2. Set up LibreView
LibreView₼ is a secure2 cloud-based platform that provides you and your staff access to patient glucose data and detailed reports to identify patterns and make more informed treatment decisions.
How to set up a Practice

01. Go to the LibreView website
02. Create or log into your account
03. Go to Settings > Create a New Practice
04. Enter practice details and click Create Practice
05. Click Done
You have now created your LibreView Practice and are ready to connect with patients. You'll learn how to do this in the Getting Patients Started Guide.

4. Order sample sensors
If you plan on training patients yourself, you'll need to order starter sensors for them.
You can order up to 10 sensors each month for patient training. You can also order readers for patients who don't have a smartphone compatible with the LibreLink app.
