€ When starting FreeStyle Libre 2 sensor with FreeStyle Libre 2 reader, users will not receive real-time glucose readings, even if they use the updated FreeStyle LibreLink app as their second device. Users will need to scan to get their glucose reading on both devices. Glucose alarms are only received on the device used to start the sensor. FreeStyle Libre reader users will need to request a FreeStyle Libre 2 reader, as the original FreeStyle Libre reader will scan FreeStyle Libre 2 sensors but will not provide optional alarms.^

^ FreeStyle Libre 2 readers will not scan FreeStyle Libre sensors. To support our users who cannot use the FreeStyle LibreLink app, we will replace any existing FreeStyle Libre readers with a new FreeStyle Libre 2 reader at no extra cost.

* Patients choose which device they want to receive alarms: FreeStyle Libre 2 reader or FreeStyle LibreLink app. They must start their FreeStyle Libre 2 sensor with that selected device. Once the patient scans their FreeStyle Libre 2 sensor with that device, they can receive alarms only on that device. Alarm notifications will only be received when alarms are turned on and the sensor is within 6 metres (20 ft) unobstructed of the reading device.

◊ The FreeStyle LibreLink app is only compatible with certain mobile devices and operating systems. Please check the website for more information about device compatibility before using the app. Use of FreeStyle LibreLink may require registration with LibreView.

₸ Glucose readings are automatically displayed in the app only when the smartphone and FreeStyle Libre 2 sensor are connected and in range.
