If your patients meet the HSE criteriaⁱ  for the FreeStyle Libre system, or are a current user of the system, they should be eligible for a replacement. 

Your patients can use the FreeStyle Libre 2 sensor with the FreeStyle LibreLink app^◊ – the same app they use with their FreeStyle Libre sensor. If your patients don’t have a compatible smartphone or are unable to use one, they can request a FreeStyle Libre 2 reader.^€

Yes, just like the FreeStyle Libre system, the FreeStyle Libre 2 system is approved for children with diabetes aged four years plus.¹ The system is clinically proven to be accurate for ages 4-17 over 14 days without finger pricks.^2,3
