My patients are new users of the FreeStyle Libre 2 system and the FreeStyle LibreLink app and was presented with an “Allow Notifications” message during the app tutorial to Allow or Don’t Allow. What should they do?
If your patients wish to receive alarms¤ on their Android device, the Notifications permission must be set to Allow.
¤ Notifications will only be received when alarms are turned on and the sensor is within 20 feet unobstructed of the reading device. Your patients must enable the appropriate settings on their smartphones to receive alarms and alerts, see the FreeStyle LibreLink User Manual for more information.
