Can children use it, is there an age limit?
Yes, just like the FreeStyle Libre system, the FreeStyle Libre 2 system is approved for children with diabetes aged four years plus.1 The system is clinically proven to be accurate for ages 4-17 over 14 days without finger pricks.2,3
1. The indication for children (aged 4-12) is limited to those who are supervised by a caregiver who is at least 18 years of age. The caregiver is responsible for managing or assisting the child to manage the compatible reading device and sensor and also for interpreting or assisting the child to interpret Sensor glucose readings.
2. Finger pricks are required if glucose readings and alarms do not match symptoms or expectations.
