What if my patients have phone service or Wi-Fi?
Wi-Fi or a mobile data connection are only required for initial LibreLink app1 setup (downloading / installing the app, creating an account, or signing in) and sharing glucose information with you or with other connected apps. The LibreLink app does not require a Wi-Fi or a mobile data connection to scan/stream the sensor or to record the current glucose readings. During periods when your patients phone is operating in a disconnected state, data will only be uploaded to LibreView after a Wi-Fi or mobile data connection is restored.
1. The FreeStyle LibreLink app is only compatible with certain mobile devices and operating systems. Please check the website for more information about device compatibility before using the app. Sharing of glucose data requires registration with LibreView.
