No. With the Libre 3 Plus sensor, you do not need to scan to receive a glucose reading. When your Libre 3 Plus sensor is paired with your reader, you will automatically see the latest glucose information after you open the reader or when you receive an alarm^ notification on your reader.

^ Notifications will only be received when alarms are turned on and the sensor is within 10 meters (33 ft) unobstructed of the reader.
