Do patients need to update their app to use the new FreeStyle Libre 2 Plus sensor?

If your patient is using the latest version of the LibreLink app◊, they will not have to update the app as the Libre 2 Plus sensor is a sensor hardware update.

The Libre 2 Plus sensor is compatible with the current LibreLink App and Libre 2 Reader.

◊ The FreeStyle LibreLink works with the FreeStyle Libre 2 and Libre 2 Plus sensor. The FreeStyle LibreLink app is only compatible with certain mobile devices and operating systems. Please check the website for more information about device compatibility before using the app. Sharing of glucose data requires registration with LibreView.
