How accurate is glucose information? What is the accuracy of the FreeStyle Libre 2 Plus sensor?
Glucose readings from the Libre 2 Plus sensor are accurate. Data from a clinical trial showed 99.9% of all Libre 2 Plus sensor readings fell within Zones A and B of a consensus error grid (a tool used to analyze clinical accuracy). Readings that fall within Zones A and B mean that there is little to no effect on the clinical outcome based on the action you take on that reading.1
Additionally, no confirmatory finger pricks† required for treatment decisions even when glucose is low, falling or changing rapidly.

† Finger pricks are required if glucose readings and alarms do not match symptoms or expectations.
