What needs to happen before I can prescribe?

Before you can prescribe the FreeStyle Libre 2 Plus sensor, eligible patients need to have completed FreeStyle Libre 2 system training. Patients will receieve a completion certificate which will then allow you to prescribe the sensors.

There are four ways your patient can complete their training:

• Independent online training: patients complete training on their own by watching our online training video
• In-person training with HCP: patients complete training with you at your practice by watching our training video together
• Online or In-person Abbott training: patients register for an online or in-person training session at your practice led by an Abbott trainer who will guide invited patients through using the system
