No. With the FreeStyle Libre 3 System, your patient do not need to scan to receive a glucose reading. When FreeStyle Libre 3 Sensor is paired with smartphone, the latest glucose information is automatically seen after opening the FreeStyle Libre 3 app or when an alarm notification is received on compatible smartphone.
