Flash Glucose Monitoring Made Easy

Designed to replace the need for routine finger pricks, the FreeStyle Libre 2 flash glucose monitoring system is made up of :

  • A sensor worn on the back of the upper arm that continuously measures the glucose concentration in the body’s interstitial fluid

  • The FreeStyle LibreLink mobile app to scan the sensor and monitor glucose levelsφ

FreeStyle Libre 2 sensor

The small, discreet sensor worn on the back of the arm continuously measures the glucose concentration in the body's interstitial fluid. It is worn for up to 14 days and is water-resistant so continues to work while patients  shower, swim or exercise. Patients can scan their sensor anytime,‡ anywhere, even through clothing.

For use with the FreeStyle LibreLink App

Patients can use the FreeStyle LibreLink app to scan their sensor to read their glucose levels and receive optional alarms. For a complete glycaemic picture, patients must scan their FreeStyle Libre 2 sensor every 8 hours.

Available for iPhone and Android

Easy to use2

The sensor is easily attached to the back of the upper arm. It can be worn up for 14 days.

No finger pricks

Dose insulin, confirm hypo or impending hypo, and be alerted when glucose is rapidly changing — all without the need for finger pricks.

Discreet & convenient

Patients can check their glucose anytime, anywhere with a simple 1-second scan even through clothing.

Unsurpassed accuracy

Unsurpassed accuracy overall — even in the low glucose range when it matters most, providing a reading every minute.

Optional alarms

The new optional glucose alarms can be set individually according to your patients’ needs.

How It Works

Step 2: Scan

With the FreeStyle LibreLink app patients can scan their sensor to see their glucose readings.

Step 3: Read

Patients will be able to see their current glucose reading, 8-hours of data and a trend arrow that shows where their glucose levels are heading.

Step 4: Receive Optional Alarms

If set up, patients can receive custom alarms when their glucose levels are too high or too low.
