In addition, your personal health-related data is hosted by an approved/certified health data host. To what extent can I choose how Abbott collects and uses my personal data?

Is personal data transferred by Abbott to other jurisdictions? 

Abbott stores data on secure servers located in several countries across the European Union (EU) as well as on the secure server of a service provider established in Ireland certified, Amazon Ireland, which thus ensures a sufficient level of protection for data transfers from the European Union. 

In addition, and in cases where we may need to transfer your personal data outside the European Economic Area ("EEA") to third parties who do not offer the same level of protection as that imposed by the EU, in order to protect your personal data, we will only make such transfers (i) on the basis of a decision of the European Commission that authorises it or (ii) subject to Eu-approved Standard Contractual Clauses.
