Error Message: Scan Error

This message means the sensor could not communicate with your reader or app. Try scanning again.

Please ask your patient to:

  • Hold the reader or smartphone against the sensor (for Apple phones, hold the top edge of the phone against the sensor; for Android phones, hold the back of the phone against the sensor)
  • Remove bulky or metallic phone cases.
  • Move your phone around slowly if needed. Proximity, orientation, and other factors can affect NFC performance.

If your patient is still seeing the error after following these steps, the sensor will need to be replaced.
